Frequently Asked Questions

Is semi permanent makeup right for me?

How long does Microblading last?

Semi-permanent makeup results vary from person to person.  Several factors play a role in how long your semi-permanent makeup can last. Sun exposure, skin types, and exfoliating products will alter your results.  Semi-permanent makeup will fade over time and is not considered permanent.  Depending on your skin condition and by following the guidelines in the before and after care section, your results can extend to approximately 1 year or longer.  At that time, you may require a touch up to freshen up your tattoo.  This is a semi-permanent service that will require touch ups.  Final results can be unpredictable and not guaranteed.

Does Microblading hurt?

The pain of Microblading can sometimes be described as falling and scraping your knee.  Lidocaine topical cream is used to numb or decrease any discomfort, and may be requested before and during the procedure to make you more comfortable.  This may not be necessary for everyone.  Pain thresholds do vary from person to person.  Your menstrual cycle will increase your pain level at the time of service.

What is the process of semi-permanent makeup?

Semi-permanent makeup requires two sessions.  The first session includes mapping the eyebrows to create the perfect shape for your face.  During your first session, the client and eyebrow technician will discuss the best brow solution to achieve your desired look.  Following this consult is face mapping and performing the service.  This includes a measuring tool that helps to draw out the perfect shape for your face.    The second session, also known as the perfecting session, is usually scheduled 5-7 weeks after the initial procedure.  This session will assure lasting results.  Semi-permanent makeup is a process.  Trust the process and be patient.  The ultimate goal is to have beautiful, natural and symmetrical brows.

Can I get Microblading if I have a previous tattoo?

Results cannot be guaranteed for previously tattooed eyebrows.  Previously tattooed brows cannot always achieve the desired look the second time.  The previously tattooed brow must be light enough for the brow technician to work over.  In this case, a picture is requested to determine whether this treatment can be done.

How much should I expect my brows to fade?

Immediately after the service, the pigment will appear bold and dark.  You will notice before your second session a 30-40% fade.  You will see the true color after the 2nd session which will fade over time based on following the after care instructions.  Touch ups are recommended within a year.  Please note: any laser treatments can result in faded pigment.  Also, sunscreen may be applied to preserve the longevity of the pigment.
